SOUHRN

Příbramská V, Lata J. Probiotika a jejich možné využití v hepatologii

Probiotika jsou živé mikroorganismy lidského původu příznivě ovlivňující zdravotní stav člověka. Nemocní s jaterní cirhózou jsou v důsledku poruchy fyziologických funkcí gastrointestinálního traktu a střevní motility ohroženi bakteriálním přerůstáním, rizikem následné bakteriální translokace a vznikem systémové infekce. Podávání probiotik by mělo vést k úpravě přirozené rovnováhy střevní mikrobiální flóry, posílení střevního imunitního systému a tím ke snížení bakteriální translokace a zamezení vzniku fatálních komplikací jaterní cirhózy (krvácení, spontánní bakteriální peritonitida).

SUMMARY

Příbramská V, Lata J. Probiotics and theirs perspective in hepatology

Probiotics are living microorganisms of human origin which favourable influence the human health state. Patients with liver cirhosis are threatened with bacterial overgrowth, risk of bacterial translocation followed by systemic infection due to disturbance of physiological function of gastrointestinal tract and its motility. Administration of probiotics should lead to restoration of natural balance of luminal microbial flora, improvement of imunology function and therefore to lower risk of bacterial translocation and prevent the fatal complications of liver cirrhosis as a bleeding and spontaneous bacterial peritonitis. General significance of bacterial flora and its favourable influence by probiotics in patients with liver cirrhosis is discussed in this article.

Key words: probiotics – intestinal microflora – bacterial translocation- liver cirrhosis.
